About PSU

The Planning Service Unit (PSU) is one of the staff departments under the Ministry of Agriculture (MoA). It is primarily concerned with sectoral development planning comprising project preparation, policy analysis and formulation, Monitoring and Evaluation of projects and programmes and data collection and analysis on the agriculture and natural resource's sector. The four main sections are as follows:

1. Policy Analysis and Formulation (PAF) Section
2. Programmes/Projects Development and Control (PPDC) Section
3. Monitoring and Evaluation (M & E) Section
4. Agricultural Statistics and Resources Economics (ASRE) Section.

As a specialized institution under the Ministry of Agriculture, charged with the responsibility of carrying out sectoral development planning for the technical departments of MoA, each professional staff carries out specific duties determined by the broad objectives of the section concerned.

It consists of the Director and the Deputy Director assisted mainly by the support staff, the Documentalist, Publication technician, Library Assistant, Secretaries, Registry Clerks, Typists, Drivers, Messengers and Cleaners. The directorate is responsible for the overall effective administration of the department.
